Editorial
Having always been in favor of a bit of creative editing and messing around myself when it comes to using a flight simulator, I always anticipate the next creative release that gives the community new powers over what they had previously. Whilst many of the tools that the professionals use are readily available if you look around enough, I wanted something that was specifically built to help work with flight simulation mods in particular. Therefore, I was delighted when this mod was sent to us; it's intuitive, it's smart and it does all of the graphical things I needed it to with the minimum of fuss.
The thing I loved most about this, though, was that it works with anything from FS2000 right through to the likes of CFS2 and CFS3. Therefore, you can load up bitmaps and graphical images of just about anything and go crazy with the changes and the additions that you wish to make. Considering the fact that this mod can support things like DDS and other simulator specific files, this is like winning a watch! It helped me correlate image files appropriately for anytime I wanted to make some edits and changes myself. Whilst in the past my designs were night and day from even the vanilla FSX products, this helped me get far more accuracy and quality overall in the design.
It takes just about any kind of saving style and format that you could possibly need for using in a flight simulator, too. For anyone who wants to see their time saved when modding and needs something that makes the management and optimization of bitmap files for your mods, this is the way to get started. You'll find that it can really help you speed things up whilst getting the kind of help that you need. I always wanted to get a bit more creative and learn the process, but my artistic brain is somewhat lacking so it was nice to know that I could turn to software like this for a helping hand instead! additionally, you can remove specific channels from each texture and view them independently – this lets you get everything put together in a more authentic fashion come the end of the process, giving you a comfortable and quality looking project.
More importantly, though, is the fact that everyone will be able to get into the wonderful world of bitmapping now; if you ever wanted to make a customized plane based on your own fictional airline, you can use this tool to help you do just that. You'll get all of those nice little features that many of us don't look at, giving you the chance to get something that looks a lot more like what you would be able to do if you were just using basic tools.
If you ever wanted to hop into the editors seat and do a bit of artistic change yourself, then this is the perfect way to do just that, starting today. One time purchase adobe premiere.
